Character Name: Cecilia
Why they were given this name: Cecilia is a Latin name meaning ‘way for the blind’. She was given this name because she was born with only one working eye.

Character Race: Lyrath

Character Information: Cecilia is a Lyrath Orphan living in the Human village of Silverglass. Her only family relation is a boy of the same age who looks similar to her, named Bray. It’s unknown whether the two are actually related or not.

Character Skill Overview: A skilled hunter when it comes to catching small animals. She later learns to use a bow and control magic, however her abilities are limited.

Character Weakness: Cecilia is physically weak which makes it hard for her to kill larger animals. She also has trouble trusting Humans, which causes difficulties when in battle as she tries to stay as far away from Alexander and Edwin as she can.

Character Equipment: Learns how to use a crossbow, which is specially made for her by Evan.

Character Physical Appearance: Pretty much shown above but anyway, Cecilia is 148cm and weighs about 45pounds. She sports a round, young looking face and bright blue facial markings that indicate she is a Lyrath. Cecilia looks extreamly thin due to her diet of only eating what she can catch for herself.

Character History: Cecilia has lived in Silverglass Orphanage since she was four, when the Elves shut down the Humans’ experiments. She was among the many that were shoved into the Human orphanages as well as a successful outcome of the Humans’ work. As she had been born with a dysfunctional eye, it was a positive outcome when Cecilia woke up one day to find she could see out of both eyes.
However when placed in Silverglass Orphanage, Cecilia learned the truth behind the Humans. Being a Lyrath child, Cecilia and her apparent brother Bray were constantly abused and hunted down. Due to this, Cecilia learned from an early age to hunt for herself.

Lyrath
Created or Evolved: Created through an experiment to genetically engineer Humans to higher their chances of survival. Lyrath have animal genes mixed with their DNA to give them animal like characteristics.
Personality traits: Lyrath’s personalities can vary from fun loving and open to shy and timid. However most are very quick to react and brave, despite personal traits. They have enhanced senses (which are questionably better than a human’s sixth sense) which allow them to be exceptional hunters.

Physical Description: Very rounded faces and small noses. Lyraths look very animalistic without any additional body parts (ears/tails). Instead, Lyraths have smaller, pointed ears, similar to Elves. They tend to be very humanistic but have odd markings on their bodies that represent the genes of their crossed animal.
Most tend to be children around the ages of 14, however there are cases of Lyrath being slightly older. The older species have defined animal body parts (ears/tails), a clear side effect of early tests.
Lyrath have very quick movement. They tend to move in a very feline way; as most of which have inherited cat-like genes.
It is unknown whether Lyraths can breed outside of their race.

Clans/Tribes: The Lyrath live among the Elves, and so share many of the same clans as the Elven people. However, as many of the Lyrath have been shoved into human orphanages, they’re restricted as to the rights they have and so do not take part in clans or tribes.

Relations: Lyrath tend to be outcasted among other races.
However they have a strong bond with the Elves. Most of which took parental roles for the Lyrath children when the experiments were shut down. It is because of this that most Lyrath live among the Elves.
Lyrath despise Humans and will not interact with them. Human hunters hunt down and kill Lyrath, because of this Lyrath avoid their ancestors at all costs.

History: The Lyrath were born Human, however had some kind of disfunctioning organ or an illness. An organisation of scientists then promised the parents of these children that they would ‘cure’ them, and began experimenting by crossing the babies’ genes with various animals. Many of the first generation of experiments did not make it, however the second generation passed with close to no casualties.
When the Elves caught wind of these experiments, they ordered for all experiments to be shut down. Taking pity on the Lyrath children, many Elves took them in as their own, however a great deal of Lyraths were pushed into Human orphanages.

Alignment: The Lyrath race plays a large part in the feud between Humans and Elves. Their immoral creation caused anger within the Elves, who ordered for the operations to be shut down.
Humans created mecha to fight against the Elves, who were ‘getting in the way’ of their ‘evolution’.
However, if you manage to befriend a Lyrath, it has its ups. A friendship with a Lyrath defines you as a trustworthy, righteous person. This earns you special privileges with the Elven people.

Religion: Lyrath tend to have no religion, however those that live with the Elves are taught of spirits.
Languages: English, some can speak old Elven.

Common Names: Most have very old English names such as Elizabeth, Ailen, ect.

Favoured Occupations: Hunters and summoners.

Magic/Powers: Lyrath are extremely quick on their feet, making them ideal hunters. However, just like every other inhabitant of Earth, Lyrath are capable of learning and controlling magic.
If extremely devoted, Lyrath can also master the skill of Summoning and Sending (sending passed spirits to the afterlife)

Population Statistics: There are only about 1000 Lyraths on earth, making them extremely rare. It is unknown as to what age Lyraths live up to, as well as their breeding habits.
